Biomass-
- We should use waste materials where ever we can.
- The fuel is pretty cheap.
- It's less demanding on the Earth's resources.
It is RENEWABLE.
Geothermal-
Geothermal energy does not produce any pollution, and does not contribute
to the greenhouse effect.
The power stations dont take up that much room, so there is not
that much impact on the environment.
No fuel is needed.
It is RENEWABLE.
Tidal/ Wave
Wave-
- Energy is free, there is no fuel needed, and no waste is produced.
- It's expensive to operate or maintain.
- Can produce a great deal of energy.
It is RENEWABLE.
Tidal-
Once you have built it, the tidal power is now free.
It produces no greenhouse gases or any other waste.
There is no fuel needed.
It produces electricity reliably.
Not very expensive to maintain.
Tides are very predictable.
It is RENEWABLE.
Hydroelectricity-
Once the dam is built, the energy is basically free.
There is no waste or pollution produced.
Way more reliable than wind, solar or wave power.
Water can be stored above the dam ready to cope with peaks in demand.
Electricity can be generated constantly
It is RENEWABLE.
Wind-
- Wind is free, and wind farms dont need any fuel.
- Wind produces no waste or greenhouse gases.
- The land beneath can usually still be used for farming.
It is RENEWABLE.
Solar-
Solar energy is free and it doesn't needa any fuel and produces
no waste or pollution.
In sunny countries, solar power can be used where there is no easy way
to get electricity to a remote place.
It is RENEWABLE.
Nuclear-
- Nuclear power costs about the same as coal, although its not expensive
to make.
- Does not produce smoke or carbon dioxide, so it does not contribute to
the greenhouse effect.
- Produces small amounts of waste.
- Nuclear power is reliable.
Its NOT renewable
Hydrogen fuel cell-
*it is the most abundent and not polluting element
on earth
*It can creat water and not carbon dioxid
Its Renewable
